A bit about us :

We are seeking an experienced Robotic Maintenance Technician to join our operations maintenance team.

This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing robotic and automated production equipment—including pneumatic systems and CNC machinery. The technician will play a key role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting long-term business goals.

This is a hands-on role requiring advanced technical skills, problem-solving ability, and the flexibility to support operations as needed.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Setup – Configure and install robotic and automated systems according to specifications.
  • Preventive Maintenance – Inspect and service robotic equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Repairs & Troubleshooting – Diagnose and repair robotic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues (including motors and CNC machine components such as Fanuc, Doosan, DMG Mori, and MORI Seiki).
  • Programming – Program and troubleshoot PLCs (from scratch) and robotic systems; develop best practices for robot programming standards.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance – Conduct tests, calibrations, and safety checks to ensure compliance with performance standards.
  • Documentation – Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and programming updates.
  • Collaboration & Training – Work closely with engineers and team members to optimize processes and provide training to operators on robotic systems.
  • Continuous Improvement – Support lean manufacturing initiatives and remain current with new technologies through ongoing training.

    Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or trade certification strongly preferred.
  • Technical certification in Robotic Programming or minimum 4+ years equivalent experience (robotics training certificate or industrial robotics program certification preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in process manufacturing (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with ability to diagnose and repair complex problems.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, OEM manuals, bills of materials, and SOPs.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Skilled in the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and computerized building management systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and safety devices / functions.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regular walking, climbing, kneeling, and use of hands / arms required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have vision capability for close work, depth perception, and color recognition.
  • Work environment includes exposure to loud noise, fumes, vibration, moving machinery, and occasional outdoor conditions.
