EM Dynamics Inc., is a well-established manufacturing company headquartered in Toronto, Canada , now expanding our presence into the U.S. market with a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Grand Prairie, Texas .
This new plant will be a cornerstone of our growth strategy, and we are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to help lead the operations from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to build, shape, and lead a new site while being supported by the resources and stability of a trusted Canadian manufacturing leader.
The Role : As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day plant operations, including production, safety, quality, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will provide strong leadership to build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the successful launch and ongoing operations of the Grand Prairie facility : recruit, train, and mentor plant staff to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- Lead and manage plant staff, including supervisors, assembly staff, and support teams, providing guidance, training, and performance management to support plant readiness.
- Drive lean manufacturing, process improvements, and continuous improvement programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain, engineering, and quality integration.
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans for material, labour, and equipment usage to meet production targets.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate production schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Manage the departmental budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Ensure the production schedule is met that meets the set out RTR (Required to Run)
- Establish Continuous Improvement to machinery, equipment, production systems, and work methods to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee the quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the plant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring preventive maintenance is carried out.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications :
Completion of a college or university program in engineering, business administration, or a related field.5 - 7 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.5 Years' Manufacturing Assembly experience.Experience in launching or scaling new facilities is a strong asse t.Track record of delivering results in safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost management.Proven knowledge of provincial / federal safety standards and regulations.Proven knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.Proficiency in the use of MS Office (e.g., project management software, scheduling software)Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Why Join Us?
