Job Overview

Provides technical support and maintains audio / video devices and peripherals. Assists with installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all classroom hardware while ensuring optimal system performance.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, tests, maintains, and troubleshoots minor level 1 audio / video hardware and software.
• Responds to service requests regarding hardware and software issues.
• Maintains an accurate record of all requests for assistance.
• Provides prompt and accurate information for requests of assistance while maintaining confidentiality.
• Properly routes requests that need further escalation or attention from full-time employees and / or supervisor.
• Provides guidance and assistance to co-workers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Must be a current SHSU student enrolled in six (6) semester hours with a minimum SHSU GPA of 2.5. Must be able to demonstrate basic computer competencies and knowledge. Direct IT job experience, SHSU Lab Assistant experience, or customer service experience preferred.
