Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of ER experience and specialized certifications for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Serves a diverse emergency patient population
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM
  • Floating required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals
  • Position does not accept local candidates within a 75-mile radius
  • Expected to respond to high-acuity cases in a Level 1 trauma setting
  • Must be prepared to float within the system as needed
  • RTO longer than 1 week not approved unless under special circumstances
  • All certifications required must be current and attached
  • First-time travelers are eligible to apply

    • Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years ER nursing experience required
  • Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS required
  • Level 1 trauma experience is required
  • No licensure hits accepted
  • Must provide one reference from a charge nurse or supervisor at time of consideration
  • Former staff must be gone at least 90 days before returning as a traveler
