Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Traveling Construction Project Superintendent. The home office is located in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area, the Construction Project Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. Day-to-day tasks will include managing project timelines, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring safety regulations are followed, and maintaining communication with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience :
510+ years in commercial construction, often with specialization in retail, multifamily, industrial, or medical projects.
Proven track record managing ground-up builds and tenant improvements.
Experience with projects valued at $2MM+ is often preferred.
Education :
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
Skills & Competencies
Project Management :
Ability to manage multiple phases of construction simultaneously.
Strong scheduling and sequencing skills (e.g., 3-week look-ahead planning).
Technical Knowledge :
Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with MEP systems and low-voltage technologies.
Carpentry or hands-on construction experience is a plus.
Software Proficiency :
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Projects).
Project management tools and scheduling software (Bluebeam, etc.)
Leadership & Communication :
Ability to lead trade crews and subcontractors.
Strong interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
Conflict resolution and issue escalation capabilities.
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively (often 80100% of the time).
Ability to work in various states or regions, sometimes with extended overnight stays.
