Introduction & Role Description
This Position Guide establishes and outlines the duties, responsibilities and reporting relationships of the position of Project Engineer at Next Generation Construction, LLC. This position guide is to provide you with an understanding of the expectations, to provide the means to measure performance and to ensure uniform work standards.
The Project Engineer position requires strong leadership, organizational and time management skills. The candidate is a highly motivated team player capable of leading, managing, and coordinating all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The candidate must have strong communication and client service skills. This position is responsible for the execution and completion of the construction and administrative requirements of the project. It will require that all aspects of the work be organized in a management system that will establish, monitor and follow up on each subcontracted divisionary requirement to complete the project. It will be required that this position orchestrate all information flow needed for each component and system to be incorporated into the project within the time frame allotted to complete the project. Strict attention to detail, time constraints and proper documentation techniques will be required. This position reports to the Project Manager, Project Executive, Director or Vice President of Construction positions. This position also is to coordinate its efforts and work closely with the Project Administrator position.

Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk, and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must occasionally lift and / or move up to 75 pounds.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will predominately work in a professional office environment. The employee will also regularly visit construction work sites where the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
