About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Active Compact or SD State License required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required

Must-Have :

2 years of experience in ER

2 years of experience in Med Surg

Critical Access Hospital experience preferred

EPIC experience preferred

Description :

The RN works alongside another RN to care for Med / Surg, outpatient, and emergency department patients.

RNs perform typical RN procedures including but not limited to IV starts and Foley catheter placements.

Equipment utilized includes EPIC, Philips central monitor / telemetry, and Lifepak 15.

There is no medication system available on the unit.

Staffing includes a minimum of 2 RNs and typically either a PCT or LPN as a third person.

RNs may float each day between Med / Surg, outpatient, and emergency department.

The unit consists of 10 patient rooms, averaging close to 4 patients per day.

Nurse to patient ratio averages 1 : 2 or 1 : 3, but no more than 1 : 6.

Navy scrubs are the required dress code.

Orientation for travelers can be tailored to meet individual needs.

Additional flexibility around charge nurse roles may be available.

Charting is conducted using the EPIC system.

Cancellation policy allows for client cancellation up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
