Experienced Groundup Multifamily Estimator
Position Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Groundup Multifamily Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in estimating costs for multifamily construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on budget and within scope, contributing to the success and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for multifamily construction projects from preliminary design through completion.
- Conduct cost analysis and budget development for multiple groundup projects.
- Review and analyze project documents, blueprints, and specifications to create accurate quantity takeoffs.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure alignment on budgets and schedules.
- Implement value engineering practices to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure transparency and address any changes or challenges.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for groundup multifamily construction projects.MUST have strong tenure (averaging at least 3+ years per prior company)Strong understanding of construction codes, standards, and best practices.Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.Exceptional analytical skills, with a proven ability to conduct cost analysis and budgeting.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage subcontractor relationships effectively.Experience with project management and scheduling tools, and familiarity with change order management processes.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
