About The Position

Job Title : FLOAT RN

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience :

Must have completed at least one successful traveler assignment.

Experience with Meditech is required.

License :

Current Nursing license is required.

Certifications :

BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Must-Have :

Ability to provide quality patient care.

Strong knowledge of nursing principles.

Ability to assess patient’s clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.

Proficient in administering required drips and medications, such as Heparin, magnesium, and potassium riders.

Demonstrated ability to recognize safety issues and safely assist in patient movement.

Ability to function well in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills.

Effective leadership skills with the capability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Description :

This position involves providing nursing care in a floating capacity across various units.

You will work with patients who have common diagnoses including septic, COPD, CHF, post-operative care, and general medical-surgical needs.

Weekend, holiday, and call duties are required.

The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1 : 5-6.

The role may require assuming duties as a charge nurse.

Strong creative problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
