Job Title : Machinist

Location : Texarkana, AR

Hours : Monday - Friday 3 : 00pm - 11 : 00pm

Pay : $28 - $30 per hour

• Responsibilities :
• Signs necessary paperwork indicating work has been completed to specifications.
• Reads Process Sheet, Grinder Log, Roll Inspection Form, and other job paperwork to determine specifications and requirements.
• Determines operations to be performed, plans and assists with machine set-up.
• Selects and mounts grinding wheel onto machine.
• Selects the machine feeds and speeds.
• Inspects work in progress to assure compliance to job paperwork.
• Change set-up and / or grinding wheel or perform additional operations on the roll.
• Inspects and records completed work to assure customer specifications have been met.
• Notifies supervisor when job is complete.
• Conforms to safety and inspection requirements.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs routine maintenance procedures.
• Directs Grinder Helper to assure an efficient workflow.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck / overhead crane as required.
• Must be available for all shifts when necessary.
