Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring a NY RN license and strong cardiothoracic ICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes post-operative CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic dissection, and robotic heart surgery patients directly out of the OR
  • Night shift schedule from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Strong hemodynamic monitoring required
  • Floating requirements as per collective bargaining agreement
  • Manage and support post-operative cardiothoracic patients immediately after surgery
  • Effective teamwork and strong communication skills are essential
  • Completion of hospital-required online learning modules prior to assignment start
  • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius accepted at a reduced rate
  • Scrub color or dress code not specified
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Active NY RN license required
  • Minimum of 3 years recent ICU experience, specifically in cardiothoracic ICU
  • AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • CCRN and CSC certifications preferred
  • Two recent references from a manager or higher in the current specialty
