About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia care on a locum basis. The role involves working independently with support from surgeons, surgical techs, RNs, and other CRNAs in a collaborative, team-based environment. Candidates must be local or within driving distance due to the nature of the schedule.
Job Responsibilities :
- Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures including cataracts, colonoscopies, EGDs, carpal tunnel, total hips and knees, and minor surgeries.
- Perform required anesthesia techniques such as general surgery (adult & pediatric), minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia, ventilation management, and local infiltration.
- Manage approximately 11–15 cataract cases per day, plus 3–4 other procedures.
- Work independently while collaborating with surgeons and OR staff.
- Document patient care in EMR (EPIC – training provided).
- Ensure patient safety and effective anesthesia care throughout surgical procedures.
