Courier Classified Transport
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Courier to join our team. This position is responsible for the secure transport of classified documents and materials in compliance with all applicable government security requirements. The Courier will support both on-site and off-site transportation services, classified and non-classified mail processing, and may serve as a security escort when required. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity of classified operations and ensuring strict adherence to all chain-of-custody and documentation protocols.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Provide secure transportation of classified documents and materials in accordance with government and organizational security regulations
- Perform mail processing duties, including sorting, handling, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
- Retrieve vendor materials and deliver items between office locations or external partners
- Transport classified waste to designated destruction sites following compliance procedures
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation for all transported items
- Escort uncleared individuals within secure areas as required
- Support mailroom operations and other courier team duties as assigned
- Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding physical and information security
- Represent the organization professionally when interacting with internal and external personnel
Basic Qualifications :
TS / SCI w / Poly Clearance is requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent13 years of relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or coordinationBasic knowledge of building codes and safety standardsFamiliarity with facility maintenance tasks and routine inspectionsUnderstanding of contract management and vendor coordinationAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues and vendors to clarify and resolve routine facility issuesBasic budgeting or financial tracking skills related to facilities managementAbility to follow established policies and procedures with some independent problem-solvingProficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)Preferred Qualifications :
Associate's degree or higher in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field3+ years of progressively responsible experience in facility management or operationsHands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems maintenance and troubleshootingKnowledge of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, and execution of facility-related projectsExperience with space planning and office allocation strategiesProven ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts effectivelyStrong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance applicable to facilitiesExperience developing and managing budgets related to facility operations and capital improvementsFamiliarity with workforce planning and team coordination within facility management functionsCertification in facility management (e.g., IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar) is a plus
