Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with at least 1 year of acute care experience, ARDMS and RVT certification, and proficiency in OB and arterial extremity Doppler studies.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care radiology department on the Ultrasound unitGeneral, OB, small parts, and vascular ultrasound studies performed with focus on upper and lower venous and arterial examsDepartment is equipped with 3 Siemens S2000 ultrasound scannersAverage of 35 ultrasound studies performed per dayShifts are 12 hours with available start times of 6-6, 7-7, or 8-8, and weekends scheduled every other weekendStaff follows a 2,2,3 shift rotation between two teamsNo floating to other departments requiredEMR is Cerner Soarian (Community Works); PACS used is Intellirad / IntelliconnectFive-shift orientation provided with a preceptorRadiologist is on-site until 5pm and on-call after hours, with Vrad covering overnightMay wear any clean, professional scrubs; matching Emerald Green scrubs are optionalFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyHoliday rotation may be requiredNo call or standby is required for this positionMust disclose any background concerns prior to considerationTravelers are not eligible if they have worked at any WVU Medicine facility within the last 2 yearsTravelers cannot work within WVU Medicine for longer than one year; a two-year break is required after reaching the year limitCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleRequirements
