Immediate Direct Hire Opening for “Process Engineer” in the Springdale area!

100K -110K based on experience! 1 st shift 8-5

Job Description :

  • To design, monitor, and optimize the extrusion process so that plastic sheet production meets required specifications in terms of thickness, strength, clarity, and other properties—while minimizing waste, downtime, and cost.
  • To implement projects right from concept to commissioning.

Key responsibilities and activities

  • Process Design & Development
  • Define / Standardize extrusion parameters (temperature profiles, screw speed, winding profiles, feed rates, etc.)

  • Select appropriate materials and additives based on product requirements.
  • Select appropriate equipment and technology.
  • Develop process flow diagrams and control strategies.
  • Quality Control
  • Monitor sheet thickness, surface finish, and mechanical properties.

  • Implement process control strategies to maintain optimal operating conditions and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot defects like die lines, gels, winding defects, or uneven thickness.
  • Optimization
  • Implement improvements to reduce costs, scrap rates, and improve material yield.

  • Fine-tune process settings to improve throughput and energy efficiency.
  • Analyze data trends to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies for improvement.
  • Apply methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen to drive process improvements.
  • Run DOEs to optimize process settings.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support
  • Investigate process upsets and equipment failures.

  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent operation.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure processes comply with environmental and safety regulations.

  • Conduct risk assessments for all processes including high-temperature and high-pressure systems.
  • Collaboration
  • Work with R&D on new product development.

  • Coordinate with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Train operators on best practices and process changes.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of process changes and performance.

  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Project Management
  • Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to implementation completing on time and within budget.

  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders as required.
  • Job Requirements

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
