PART TIME FACULTY POOL - MUSIC Job at City of Hallandale Beach in Barstow

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time (up to 67%), substitute, temporary, or hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Part-Time faculty applications will remain in the pool for one year. You will be contacted by the hiring manager if the department / division is interested in scheduling an interview.

Departments will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies.

Assignment

Applications for Part-Time Instructors are always being accepted for assignments at the main campus, as well as teaching online and at off-campus sites located at Fort Irwin. Assignments are at the discretion of the District.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's in music OR a Bachelor's in music AND a Master's in humanities, or the equivalent.

Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students, including academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching at the community college level.
