Logistics Coordinator

Logoplaste is currently seeking to hire a Logistics Coordinator, to join the plant team in Plainfield, IL (USA).
The Logistics Coordinator will be directly responsible for logistics personnel warehouse activities. Overseeing daily receiving, unloading, transporting and storage of product and materials as well of shipment of goods to customer. The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Plant Manager.
Key Tasks & Activities...
- Assist in supervision of all internal and external warehouse activities to maintain sustained service levels
- Schedule and ensure timely shipment of material to all external customer
- Ensure that all employees are compliant with company, departmental and safety policies and procedures
- Maintain physical condition and organization of internal and external warehouses, implementing 5S principles and sustaining through frequent inspections and completion of follow-up actions
- Ensure the accuracy of SAP inventory (raw materials, finished goods and supplies)
- Maintain monthly inventory of warehouse and accurately report all information related to production. Maintain accurate forms and files to comply with internal and external requirements
- Ensure all paperwork to customer is accurate when shipping product
- Supervise material handler function by analyzing the operation to determine better methods which could result in reduction of damaged goods in storage, transit, or during material handling, provide and implement solutions
- Organize and participate in monthly physical inventory counts and reconciliations
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP practices and Global Food Safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned by manager
- Routine direct interaction with customers related to planning, inventory and shipping activities

1-3 years relevant industry experience in logistics manufacturing environmentSupervisory experience preferredAbility to communicate with management, customers and vendorsAble to work flexible and / or extended hours and weekends as business demandsForklift experience required; Train the Trainer Certification preferredGood interpersonal and communication skillsExperience with customer / supplier relationship managementStrong problem solving capabilityUnderstanding of inventory flow preferredWarehouse Organization skillsProficient with MS Word, ExcelExperience using SAP a plusLogoplaste offers an excellent benefits package with genuine career development opportunities.
