ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) / Traffic Engineer to join our expanding Transportation Systems Group in the Southeast region with hybrid opportunities in Orlando or Tampa, FL. In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the planning, documentation, design, and construction support of advanced ITS infrastructure and traffic design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development of ITS / ATMS and traffic signal design plans

• Perform traffic engineering and task management to deliver a wide variety of traffic engineering and ITS / ATMS projects
• Prepare technical specifications and construction cost estimates
• Develop electrical one-line diagrams and conduct electrical system calculations, including voltage drop, arc flash, and short circuit analyses
• Prepare Power Design Analysis Reports for ITS infrastructure
• Create communication diagrams and fiber / copper splicing plans
• Develop key systems engineering documentation, including :

Concept of Operations (ConOps)
