The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art – Adjunct Faculty (Part-time) for the History and Theory of Art

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Cooper Union is currently accepting submissions from qualified candidates to teach History and Theory of Art. We seek an active, culturally diverse faculty of the highest caliber with an academic background in the following : pre-17th century art history topics, with an emphasis on the non-west; art of the Global South; art, ecology, and climate change; art and mental health; art and race; art and indigeneity. A demonstrated record of teaching is preferred.

Qualifications :

ABD or PhD degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent and demonstrated strong teaching record preferred.

The pay for this position starts at $106.50 . This is a unionized position.
