This exceptional opportunity is for a highly visible, influential leader who can inspire collective action, drive systemic change, and position The African American Leadership Forum (The Forum) as a trusted convener, advocate, and thought leader both locally and nationally.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the African American Leadership Forum will serve as the chief strategist and ambassador of the organization. The CEO is responsible for advancing systemic change while building a vibrant cross-sector network of leaders, institutions, and organizations dedicated to improving the lives of African Americans across the Twin Cities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The CEO will provide strategic direction, operational excellence, and bold leadership to The Forum. This role requires a dynamic leader with proven fundraising expertise, strong community relationships, and the ability to align programs, operations, and resources with strategic priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the chief strategist and ambassador for The Forum, setting a compelling vision for the future.
• Cultivate and communicate a clear, bold direction that inspires staff, board members, community leaders, funders, and partners.
• Champion equity, systemic change, and culturally rooted leadership development across the Twin Cities and beyond.
• Build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including public officials, philanthropic partners, corporate leaders, and grassroots organizations.
