HX5 is currently seeking a qualified Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) Architect to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract in Huntsville, AL. Our team designs and develops Enterprise IT and Mission Operations Technology solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems, the ability to work as part of a large team, and the ability to provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

The MBSE Architect will create and manage digital representations of complex systems using modeling languages like

SysML. The MBSE Architect leads the adoption and implementation of MBSE practices within projects, ensuring models

effectively support design, analysis, and decision-making. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence diverse audiences on digital concepts and technologies, from business leaders to technologists.

Duties Include :

• Work collaboratively with a multi-discipline team to decompose cybersecurity system requirements into functional and logical architecture and allocate logical architecture to physical implementation.
• Create and maintain system models, ensuring they are accurate, compliant with standards, and effectively used for various engineering tasks.
• Capture system requirements traceability within the system architecture model, linking them to architectural and design

artifacts

Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Systems

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
