4221 W Old RD 30, Warsaw, IN

Pay : Competitive hourly rate, plus tips

About us : At the Crazy Egg Cafe, we pride ourselves in serving fresh, high-quality dishes in a warm, welcoming environment. We're a community-driven cafe known for our delicious, made in house food and creative menu. We are looking for a detail-oriented and hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and help us continue delivering exceptional dishes for our customers.

Job Description : As a prep cook you'll play an essential role in preparing ingredients, preparing dishes, and assisting our kitchen staff to cook and serve amazing dishes. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure will help ensure our kitchen runs smoothly during busy service hours.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and organize ingredients needed for each new day
  • Wash, chop, slice, and prep vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as required
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency & quality
  • Assist in daily inventory management & assist in stock rotation
  • Ensure the kitchen and workspace is always clean, organized, and safe by following health & safety standards
  • Assist other kitchen staff as needed
  • Work as part of a team to meet kitchen production goals during peak hours

Qualifications :

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Previous kitchen or prep cook is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with a team
