PURPOSE
A Shift Coordinator is an hourly, non-exempt position responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift management. Completion of the Shift Coordinator Program is a requirement prior to starting the Shift Coordinator training.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all duties as outlined in the Shift Coordinator certification programSets an example for Team Members by working hard to implement shift plan and ensure swift and smooth productionDelegates in a way that encourages teamwork during shift to ensure that the restaurant operations comply with company standardsCommunicates daily work goals to team from leadershipMotivates Team Members to exceed guest expectations with food and friendly service in clean surroundingsWorks with team to act on guest feedback and resolve complaints in a timely, friendly and professional mannerTakes initiative to immediately report violations of safety, sanitation, security and other company policies to restaurant managementFollows all POS comp procedures and cash handling procedures-May never discount their own checksAssist leadership with coordinating and scheduling interviews for hourly team membersMust follow manager appearance standards when performing Shift Coordinator dutiesDemonstrate appropriate professional and ethical behavior, at all times, when interacting with guests, employees, and managersDirects, trains and motivates ongoing shift responsibilities to employees and ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and checklistsFollow all procedures and policies to ensure the safety of all employees and guestsAssist managers with promotional roll-outs and trainingPreparing and sorting documents for data entryEntering invoices into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data has been inputtedTracking, reviewing, and submitting invoicesResolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documentsAssists and / or completes additional tasks as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High School Diploma preferredProof of eligibility to work in the United StatesValid Driver’s License18+ years of agePossession of or the ability to possess all state-required work cardsMinimum of one (2) years related experienceFamiliarity with OpentableProper lifting techniquesGuest relationsSanitation and safetySafe alcohol serviceFull-service restaurant operationsAbility to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the publicWORKING CONDITIONS
