Be the difference.\n\nJob Summary\n\nAs a vital part of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional clinical direction and patient-centered care within our acute inpatient setting. In this challenging role, you will utilize your clinical skills and evidence-based practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while fostering a supportive environment for patients and their families.\n\nAdhere to safety protocols and quality improvement measures while navigating compliance with regulatory agencies and organizational policies. You will routinely collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and ensure a high standard of care in alignment with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Flexibility is essential, as weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts may be required.\n\nEssential Functions\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and document patient data effectively.\n
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in partnership with patients and their families.\n
  • Adapt care strategies based on patient status changes and collaborate with team members for optimal communication.\n
  • Plan for continuity of care post-discharge, ensuring appropriate referrals and resources are provided.\n
  • Deliver direct patient care according to established nursing standards and protocols.\n
  • Delegate tasks as appropriate, maintaining accountability for nursing tasks assigned to team members.\n
  • Continuously monitor the quality of care and promote a safe healing environment.\n
  • Utilize performance indicators to assess nursing care quality and effectiveness.\n
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and provide education to patients and families on health management.\n
  • Reflect on and enhance your nursing practice through ongoing education and professional development.\n
  • Act as an advocate for patients, coordinating care with providers and other healthcare professionals.\n
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.\n\nSupervisory / Management Responsibility\n\nThis is a non-management position reporting directly to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n
  • Education : Associate's degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.\n
  • Experience : A minimum of one year as a registered nurse is necessary.\n\nIn Lieu Of\n
  • Successful completion of a Nurse Residency Program may substitute for one year of experience.\n
  • Internal candidates may use one year of LPN experience within the same service line.\n
  • A nursing diploma is acceptable in lieu of an Associate's degree, provided licensure is held.\n\nRequired Certifications, Registrations, Licenses\n
  • Current RN compact / multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or a valid RN license in South Carolina.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n
