DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1.         Change linens, make beds, vacuum carpets, and dust furniture, handrails, and baseboards.

2.         Clean window sills, empty wastebaskets, clean and sanitize the apartment, mop floors, and clean restrooms.

3.         Clean resident apartments, offices and public areas according to scheduled routine.

4.         Maintain records and inform supervisor of supplies needed.

5.         Spot clean carpets and floors, clean screens, wash windows and curtains, wipe down resident furniture, facility furniture, and appliances as appropriate.

6.         Distribute supplies, replace light bulbs, toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

7.         Prepare resident apartments for new admissions and clean thoroughly immediately after discharge of a resident.

8.         Note and report to supervisor problems requiring special attention such as repairs, resident non-compliance, unsafe situations, etc.

9.         Perform duties as outlined on the specific job orientation and job duties and further as assigned by supervisor.

10.     Performs laundry Duties which includes but is not limited to the following :

a.         Delivers soiled linens to laundry, sorts, washes, dries and folds linens and returns them to the resident apartments.

b.         Maintain clean laundry room.

c.         Checks supplies and inventory and notifies supervisor if and when supplies are low & need replenished.

d.         Inspects equipment to maintain high standards and safe working environment.

e.         Perform duties as outlined on the specific job orientation and job duties and further as assigned by supervisor.

f.          Maintains laundry log books.
