Job Summary
CSTECH.Ai is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our geospatial team in North America. This role will support ongoing client projects by preparing and amending high-quality 2D drawings, and 3D models, that align with project specifications and client requirements. The technician will work closely with the Manager of Service Delivery and operational teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of drafting work. This position is especially critical for servicing clients in the telecommunications and infrastructure sectors, where precision and adaptability to complex requirements are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, update, and maintain 2D & 3D AutoCAD drawings and models based on survey data and project requirements.
- Perform drafting tasks to produce accurate representations of designs.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with Field Capture Technicians and Operational Support Specialists to translate field data into accurate CAD deliverables.
- Review and modify existing drawings per client requests and project changes.
- Ensure drafting outputs adhere to company standards, client specifications, and industry best practices.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for project lifecycle management.
- Coordinate with the Manager of Service Delivery to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Assist with the development of drafting standards, templates, and workflows for efficiency and consistency.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or technical certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).3+ years of professional AutoCAD drafting experience required; background in telecommunications or infrastructure projects strongly preferred.Experience in drafting and creating schematics for various engineering applications.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and other relevant CAD software tools; familiarity with GIS or geospatial data integration is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings, survey notes, and field data.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across field, support, and client-facing teams.Effective time & project management skills to meet deadlines.Key Competencies

Aerial and Mobile Lidar Data – familiarity with registration and processing of point cloud and similar data.Terrestrial Lidar Data – familiarity with registration and processing of point cloud and similar data with specific knowledge and experience with FARO SCENE and Autodesk ReCap a plus.Physical Requirements
