We are seeking an experienced Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland, starting Dec 1, 2025. This role involves a mix of day and night 12-hour shifts, averaging 12 shifts per month, within a NICU at a leading academic institution. Candidates must have at least 2 years of NICU experience. Job Details Location : Maryland Facility Type : Academic Medical Center, NICU Start Date : Dec 1, 2025 LOA : 72 days Provider Type Needed : Neonatology Nurse Practitioner Schedule : 12 shifts per month (3 per week), mix of days (7am-7 : 30pm) and nights (7pm-7 : 30am), 12-hour shifts with 30-minute sign out; no 24-hour shifts Responsibilities and Duties Provide clinical care in a NICU Attend high-risk deliveries and C-sections Manage 5-10 neonatal patients per day Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, and APP team members Participate in both day and night coverage as scheduled Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation Ensure safe, evidence-based neonatal critical care Adhere to all institutional protocols and guidelines Maintain required certifications and licensure Additional Information Must hold an active Maryland NP license Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Board certification in Neonatology required Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience; unable to train on procedures Will not be responsible for neonatal transport Full subspecialty support available through the hospital's Neonatology team Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
