Job Description Licensed Addiction Counselor / Mental Health Therapist
We are hiring a licensed counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, SAC-IT, SAC, CSAC or related credential) to join our treatment team . In this role, you will manage a client caseload averaging 12, providing evidence-based care for individuals and families impacted by addiction and mental health challenges.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct intakes, assessments, and evaluations for clients entering treatment.
- Develop and implement biopsychosocial treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Facilitate individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling sessions .
- Provide substance use disorder counseling, relapse prevention, and recovery support services .
- Coordinate treatment planning, referrals, and discharge planning with outside providers.
- Collaborate with medical staff, psychiatric care providers, and case managers to ensure integrated services.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in staff trainings, community outreach events, and cultural competency initiatives.
- Represent WisHope at professional meetings, trainings, and community events.
- Deliver compassionate, client-centered care in line with best practices for addiction counseling and mental health treatment .
