Medical Assistant

Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8am - 4 : 30 pm. No weekends or holidays! Free On-site parking.

Occasional travel to Children's Pine Center - 11279 Perry Highway Suite 202 Wexford PA 15090 will be required.

Title and Rate of Pay will be based on Education and Experience.

As a Medical Assistant, you'll work alongside our Life Changers to provide high-quality patient care. Build meaningful relationships with patients and create a safe, comforting environment.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate schedule and patient flow; escort patients to exam rooms
• Gather patient history, take vitals, perform screenings and relay provider instructions.
• Assist with mobility, dressing, specimen collection and exam prep.
• Answer call, provide patient education and manage front office tasks.
• Handle medical records per HIPPA and regulatory guideline; verify insurance and procedures.
• Administer injections and vaccines under physician supervision.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and equipment; maintain inventory and infection control standards.
• Comply with OSHA, CLIA, PA Dept. of Health, and UPMC policies; ensure confidentiality.
• Retrieve lab / x-ray reports, hospital notes, referrals; complete forms and manage charts.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Previous Pediatric experience preferred

Previous Out-Patient Experience preferred

Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
