Job Description

Access Health Louisiana, a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing quality, affordable, and convenient care in high-need areas, is seeking a dedicated Play Therapist -Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. We are committed to delivering compassionate healthcare and ensuring that no patient is turned away due to their ability to pay.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide individual, group, and family therapy to students.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, school personnel, and referral sources to coordinate holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation, updating records as needed.
  • Identify and report special cases such as child abuse, neglect, or truancy to appropriate authorities and provide follow-up counseling.
  • Actively contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on improving student health outcomes.
  • Uphold AHL’s mission of delivering care with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work
  • Current licensure in good standing in the state of Louisiana
  • Five or more years of post-master’s experience working with very young children, adolescents, and their families, along with three years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Infant Mental Health Certification, or willing to obtain.
  • Experience

  • Three to five years of post-master’s experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults
  • Prior outpatient treatment experience
  • Experienced in using Evidence Based Practices for very young children.
  • Proficient in use of EMR / Computer experience
