Custodian / Housekeeper

Western Nebraska Veterans Home is seeking an individual to work in a beautiful long term care facility and maintain high standards of sanitation required in a healthcare environment. Full-Time Position, Work Schedule is 11 : 00 a.m. to 7 : 30 p.m. Monday Friday and working every-other weekend. $19.52 per hour!

Clean members' rooms, restrooms and facility offices to include walls, windows, and ceilings. Remove laundry from living areas; may assist with delivery of clean linen and personals to resident's rooms. Empty trash containers, carpet care including vacuuming, spot removal & shampooing and perform other floor cleaning duties, mop, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications : No specific education, training, or experience is required for entry to this class.

Preferred Qualifications : Working knowledge and cleaning experience in commercial business, hospital, medical building or long-term care facility; Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

Knowledge of facility standards of sanitation and cleaning procedures. Ability to : follow written oral instructions; operate and maintain cleaning equipment, and mix cleaning solutions in proper proportions. Ability to operate heavy commercial cleaning equipment and to move / lift up to 75 lbs., push / pull up to 50 lbs.
