Spice Merchants (Retail Sales Associates) For Milwaukee Public Market Location

The Spice House is looking for personable Spice Merchants who know about and enjoy food & cooking, and have the ability to share this knowledge with our customers. The ideal candidate will have retail experience and strong customer service skills. Current opening is 8-20 hours / week, with open availability for 2-4 shifts / week including weekends and Monday-Friday between the hours of 10am-8pm, but must have availability long-term during morning and afternoon shifts to be considered.

Responsibilities :

• Provide excellent customer service in a specialty food retail environment which supports sales growth for your store
• Warmly welcome customers and assist them throughout their store visit
• Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations about our spice products based around the customers preferences, needs and desires
• Complete customer orders through our POS and Web pickup system.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area and displays clean, organized, and restocked as directed by management
• Assist in maintaining the back stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor
