Job Summary
The Division of Geriatrics is looking for a part-time Administrative Coordinator to support various projects across all our mission areas. The Division aims to improve the health and well-being of older persons and those with serious illness through teaching, research, clinical care, and community engagement. Reporting directly to the Division Manager, the Administrative Coordinator is an essential part of the Core Admin Team and a contributing member to the operational success and longevity of the Division. A successful candidate is a working professional with exceptional organization skills and proven experience in applying policies and procedures to support a wide range of ongoing / adhoc administrative and operational tasks.
Specific projects may include : coordinating events and Division day-to-day business operations / schedules, submitting IT / facilities tickets / work orders, ordering and tracking supplies / inventory, submitting purchase orders and expense reports, tracking and assigning space, supporting finance and HR tasks including issuing / tracking invoices, check deposits, cost transfers, financial reconciliation, submitting HR tickets, supporting recruitment efforts, running reports and generating graphs / charts at the appropriate level, contributing to Division and team meetings, creating meeting agendas and minutes, and supporting special projects that add to the success of the Division or improves employee engagement / experience. The Administrative Coordinator may also be involved in program-specific projects led by faculty / program directors in areas of research, clinical operations, and / or education as needs arise and at the appropriate scope and level. Lastly, the Administrative Coordinator may also support Division communications / marketing tasks such as Twitter feeds, GeriNews, and / or website updates.
The Core Admin Team is a dynamic and well-functioning group of individuals and the backbone of the Division. We seek an individual who is motivated, self-driven but also highly collaborative, mission-driven, and excited about behind-the-scenes work. We prefer someone who is willing to learn, flexible, able to make sound decisions, analyze and resolve operational problems of moderate scope and knows when to escalate matters to a superior. The Administrative Coordinator will be joining a Division that is committed to their individual success and engagement and equally committed to achieving team-based success!
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate).

We train healthcare professionals at all levels, from students to seasoned clinicians, using innovative curricula and teaching in multiple settings such as classrooms, clinics, hospitals, and homes.
