About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
Hours per Shift : 12
Experience : Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in ICU and stepdown required. 3-5+ years highly preferred.
License : NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
Certifications : ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, NIHSS, CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours, Telemetry
Must-Have : RN must have ICU and stepdown experience at the bedside within the past six months. Must be willing to float and downgrade as needed.
Description :
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs.
Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
Initiates assessment based on patient problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
Manages care of patients.
Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Floats to units within competency as required.
RN must be willing and able to treat and manage patients with a variety of conditions, including but not limited to flu, Covid, heart issues, and lung issues.
Candidates must have strong experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital setting.
Experience with ventilators, post-cardiac surgery, and post-surgical care is preferred.
