Laboratory Technician I (Part-Time) Bonduel, WI

SUMMARY STATEMENT

AgSource is seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician I to accurately prepare, conduct and report sample analyses according to approved standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality control guidelines. Ensure testing services are conducted within anticipated laboratory turn-times. Maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and an essential function of your job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately prepare, conduct and report sample analyses according to laboratory SOP for designated tests.
  • Perform and monitor quality control checks for designated tests to ensure they fall within acceptable thresholds. Assess corrective action steps for failing or inconsistent quality control checks and report to immediate supervisor.
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures such as media / solution preparation, cleaning of labware and laboratory workspaces, monitor and maintain supply inventory for designated tests.
  • Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 0 to 2+ years laboratory experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail orientated nature.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Scheduling flexibility and ability to work overtime as needed based on workflow and deadlines.
