Shipping And Receiving Operator

Location : Huntsville, AL

Employment Type : Full-Time, Temporary-to-Hire

Pay Rate : $18 / hour

Overview : Snelling of Huntsville is supporting a local manufacturing client in their search for an experienced Shipping And Receiving Operator. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, packaging, and shipping products in a controlled production environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in shipping / receiving or warehousing within a manufacturing setting and be comfortable following detailed procedures and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against documentation.
  • Photograph and label incoming products for tracking and quality purposes.
  • Package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and notify supervisor of low stock or material needs.
  • Verify shipping documentation for accuracy prior to outbound delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Adhere to safety standards, including wearing required PPE and ESD (anti-static) gear when handling materials.
  • Follow all company policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior shipping / receiving experience required (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs with assistance).
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
