About this Position
Assistant Professor of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology with a start date of August 2026. We welcome applications from candidates with a specialization in Clinical Child or Pediatric Psychology to contribute to the Clinical Program through high-quality research and teaching.
Responsibilities :
Candidates should be strongly committed to excellence in both scholarly research and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a competitive and productive program of high-quality research, leading to scholarly productivity in the form of professional publications, presentations, and grantsmanship. The candidate also will provide research training and mentorship for doctoral and undergraduate students and teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The typical teaching load is two courses per semester; clinical supervision counts in this load, when assigned. Responsibilities will also include participation in our APA- and PCSAS-accredited PhD program in Clinical Psychology as well as service to the department, college, and university.

About the Department of Psychology
The Oklahoma State University Department of Psychology is committed to research, teaching, and outreach. The Department of Psychology has 23 tenured / tenure-track and 12 career-track full-time faculty and offers PhDs in both clinical and experimental psychology. The Clinical Program, continuously APA-accredited since 1971 and PCSAS-accredited since 2018, is based on a clinical science model of training, and has subspecialties in Adult Psychopathology, Child Clinical, Health, and Pediatric Psychology. The Experimental Program has concentrations in Developmental, Comparative-Neurobiological, Cognitive, and Social-Personality Psychology. Required Qualifications
Clinical Psychology from an APA- or PCSAS-accredited clinical psychology program.
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Completion of an APA-approved (or equivalent) clinical psychology internship.
Skills, Proficiencies, and / or Knowledge :
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and collaborate with students and colleagues.
