Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Pediatric Nephrologist for a 42-day locum tenens assignment in Connecticut, starting Dec 15, 2025. This role focuses exclusively on out-of-house call coverage, providing urgent and emergent consultation and care for kidney and urinary tract conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. The schedule consists of 7a-7p shifts, strictly on call, with 7-14 shifts per month, including weekends and potential 7 on / 7 off rotation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent and emergent pediatric nephrology consultation and care for infants, children, and adolescents
  • Manage kidney and urinary tract issues as the on-call Pediatric Nephrologist
  • Respond to calls for urgent nephrology cases, including weekends and during scheduled shifts
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely, high-quality patient care
  • Additional Information

  • Must hold an active Connecticut medical license
  • Required board certification in Pediatric Nephrology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a pediatric nephrologist
  • Must be board-certified
  • Required certifications : Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
