The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Speechify's text-to-speech products turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio to help users read faster, read more, and remember more. Our products include the iOS app, Android app, Mac app, Chrome extension, and web app. Speechify has been recognized for its achievements in the industry and operates with a distributed, remote-first team.

This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering great user experiences that delight users. We value leadership through strong technical skills and consistent, fast delivery.

Our interview process involves several technical interviews with the aim to complete them within 1 week.

What You'll Do

  • Actively ship production code to the web products
  • Work closely with your dedicated product team
  • Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
  • Have the opportunity to work on new and exciting features that will impact millions of users

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • Experience : You've built and shipped products that have scaled to thousands or millions of users
  • Customer obsession : You are passionate about the field and have the desire to build high quality products that serve customer needs
  • Speed : You work quickly to generate ideas and know how to decide what can ship now versus what needs more time
  • Focus : You're comfortable in a high-growth startup with a remote team and know when to engage or be heads-down
  • Collaboration : You can inspire, collaborate with, and negotiate with opinionated designers, marketers, and PMs
  • Tech Stack : Vanilla JS, ReactJS, Redux, Firebase, Typescript

    • Salary range for the United States : 140,000-200,000 USD / Year

  • Bonus + Stock, depending on experience.
