Opportunity Overview : Legacy Executive Search is working with a distribution company headquartered in the Metro Atlanta area to hire a Junior Contracts Attorney to provide advanced legal support on a variety of legal matters. This position will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, as well as ensuring contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations. Previous experience working with contract lifecycle management tools and system implementation / integrations preferred. This role offers flexibility to work remotely 3 days per week.

Position Summary : The Junior Contracts Attorney will be a full-time employee in the companys Legal Department and report directly to the Lead Contracts Counsel. The Junior Contracts Attorney will play a critical role in working with various stakeholders to implement and optimize the Legal Departments Contract Management System (CLM). This position presents a unique opportunity to design a system and scale a role within the legal department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Responsibilities will vary from day to day, but will include the following :

• Reviews, drafts, and revises a wide range of commercial agreements, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with applicable laws.
• Communicates effectively between third parties and internal teams, aligning with departmental and company objectives.
• Develops, updates, and maintains contract templates, forms, policies, and guidelines. Serves as content manager for the company Contract Management intranet page to ensure all data is current.
• Updates files and enters documents into Legals CLM system.
• Prepares and disseminates reports to management and employees.
• Responds to and routes incoming legal / process questions.
• Administers legal systems as needed.
• Assists in developing and delivering legal education and training.
• Serves as lead project support for Legals CLM system, acting as a liaison and implementor between Legal, business stakeholders, and third-party support resources.
• Manages CLM system, including maintenance of database, templates, users, archiving process, workflow design / builds, and clause library.
• Receives intake requests from business units for contract needs and disseminate to the appropriate contract administrators.

Travel : Travel less than 10% of the time.

Location : Metro Atlanta area. The team works onsite 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday).
