Logistics Manager

This position is responsible for load planning and routing of DC & Vendor orders into efficient truckloads, carrier load tender, carrier selection, order management, making and tracking delivery appointments, maintaining order and load status information in internal TMS system or spreadsheets, handling and resolving delivery exceptions, maintaining customer KPI scorecards, communicating load status exceptions to shippers and receivers, resolving store & department inquiries and analyzing internal freight expense.

This position manages Floor & Decor's North American transportation network & providers on a daily basis. Including the management and approval of domestic transportation costs and approval of freight invoices.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, distribution, retail, or in a strategic, supply chain management capacity
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of Transportation process and Supply Chain as a whole
• Must be detail oriented and organized
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

Physical / Sensory Requirements :

Sedentary Work Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
