Job Description

As a Security Professional Education Patrol Unarmed in RICHMOND, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a prominent educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires driving responsibilities. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Work collaboratively with school personnel and / or law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
