Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in inpatient, outpatient, and ICU settings for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an interventional radiology department with adult outpatient, inpatient, and ICU patient populations
  • Responsibilities include procedures such as biopsies, stent placement, angioplasties, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrograms, vascular and neuro studies, and venous access
  • Utilize equipment including PACS, C-Arm, injector systems (preferably ACIST), pushable / detachable coils, microcatheters, microwires, and snare kits
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
  • Assigned an average of 10 on-call days per month, including weekend coverage
  • Floating is not required
  • Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility
  • Scrubs are provided and clinicians must adhere to provided scrub color requirements
  • Onsite parking is available at no cost
  • All clinicians are required to complete an OSHA respirator clearance prior to starting and must be clean-shaven for FIT testing
  • Pre-start training modules are required and completed before the assignment begins
  • Candidates who have worked as a traveler at this facility must take a 6-month break before returning
  • First-time travelers are accepted for consideration

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Tech in outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU settings
  • Current ARRT and BLS certifications are required
  • Proficiency in procedures involving stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrograms, and neuro studies
  • Experience with PACS, C-Arm, microcatheters, microwires, and injector systems required
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Must be able to use and deploy pushable / detachable coils, microcatheters, microwires, snare kits, and injector systems
  • Pending license may be accepted at manager's discretion
  • RTO must be submitted with application; additional requests after confirmation subject to manager approval
  • License required if applicable
