Who we are looking for :
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, on-site role in Maple Grove, MN in which they will provide extensive and diverse design solutions and quality engineering support for projects from concept to production while supporting all departments involved. Accomplishes requirements affiliated with project design and development and other supportive tasks.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in 3D CAD Modeling / Product Data Management software (Solid Works / Solidworks PDM preferred).
- Create detailed drawings and specifications to engineer successful design solutions.
- Maximize safety, service, quality, and cost throughout project lifecycle by utilizing best practices.
- Lead the design and layout of new store fixtures including plastic and metal fabrication, injection molding, mill working, printed materials and LED Lighting to meet customer demand.
- Provide support to graphic art, design, sales, project management, prototyping, and production as well as troubleshooting, and inquiries.
- Work with colleagues, vendors, and customers as needed while handling multiple projects and managing priorities.
- Comply with all safety and quality policies, specifications & regulations.
- Support in the creation of assembly instructions.
- Support in the creation of printed materials as it relates to engineered projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.5+ years of retail designer industry experience preferred with experience creating innovative and visually appealing designs.Proficient in 3D CAD modeling software (Solid Works / PDM preferred).Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.Experience in Adobe Products is a plus (Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, etc).Experience working with Photorealistic CAD rendering software is a plus.Ability to understand, follow, and issue routine oral and written instructions.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.Willingness to gain abilities, add skills and find new solutions to further enhance the project development process to gain efficiency.Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.Physical Demands & Work Environment
