Job Description

The role of the Acute MedSurgical Nurse requires independence and awareness in clinical settings. The nurse provides routine and complex care, making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers as needed.

Responsibilities include :

Meting expectations of applicable competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.

Providing nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients.

Addressing increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.

Administering medications and treatments; monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.

Documenting patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.

Assessing learning needs and providing education to patients, family members, and / or caregivers.

Requirements include :

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

BLS required; RN License in state of employment or compact.

Work Schedule and Benefits :

7PM - 7AM work schedule.

Full Time position.
