Overview

Southwest Strategies Group is seeking a full-time Digital Advertising Manager to join our team. The Digital Advertising Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing paid digital media campaigns across the agency. This role focuses on strategy, technical execution, and analytics, partnering with account teams to ensure paid media is integrated seamlessly into client campaigns including advocacy efforts.

Location and schedule

Location : Seattle, WA or San Diego, CA. Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite in Seattle or San Diego. Travel up to 10-15% of the time. May require early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Salary

$78,000-$95,000 (dependent on experience)

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

  • Develop paid media strategies for client campaigns, including channel selection, budget allocation by channel, audience targeting, and KPI setting
  • Manage the technical setup and execution of paid campaigns across platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Ads at minimum; streaming and other platforms a plus)
  • Partner with account teams and designers to ensure creative assets are optimized for each platform; advise on best practices
  • Monitor campaign performance, optimize in real time, and provide clear reporting and insights to account teams
  • Support training of Account Coordinators / Account Executives to pull analytics and draft reports for manager review
  • Work closely with account leads to align paid digital tactics with broader campaign strategies and objectives
  • Serve as an in-house expert on paid digital advertising, helping elevate internal capabilities and staying current on trends, tools, and platform updates
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in digital marketing, digital strategy, or online advocacy, with increasing levels of responsibility; agency and campaign experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing issue-based or political campaigns with a strong focus on digital tactics
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Proficiency with advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager) and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics)
  • Experience with SEO tools (Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and marketing automation / email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, SharpSpring, Marketo) a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing strategy development, digital advertising and budget management, content marketing, inbound marketing, online lead generation, reporting, and analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with advocacy campaigns and platforms such as NewMode, Quorum, Muster and / or others
