Role
Octus, a rapidly growing tech-powered financial news and data company and leader in leveraged finance and distressed debt news and analysis, is seeking a Municipals Reporter to join our team to cover topical high yield and distressed municipal credits, related litigations and market trends for our subscribers who count on us for sophisticated, up-to-date, accurate information.
In this role, the reporter will be responsible for in-depth coverage of the municipal bond market, focusing on financial and governmental disclosures and developments most relevant to high yield and distressed investors and advisors. The reporter will also cultivate and draw on sources and collaborate with legal and financial analysts to provide insight on changes in the regulatory and legal environment and their potential impact on municipal credits under coverage.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity
At Octus, compensation may vary within and across roles and locations. The salary range estimate for this position is $85,000 - $90,000 . The actual compensation will be at Octus’ sole discretion and will be determined by relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
