- The primary purpose of this job position is to prepare food in accordance with current federal and state standards, guidelines and regulations, and with established policies and procedures as directed by the Dining Service Coordinator (RCAC), to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. 40% Performs skilled cooking tasks such as preparing and cooking meats, making salads and preparing special items for holiday / events or special diet needs. 25% Prepare meals in accordance with planned menu, prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes. 20% Supervises and assists in setting up and serving meals to assure they are correct, may provide direction to the work of PCWs if needed in serving foods and cleaning duties. 10% Assures that food and supplies are available for preparation, assures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies. 5% Performs administrative and other duties as assigned by the Dining Services Coordinator.
