Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Farmville, Virginia (23901) – Explore Virginia healthcare jobs in a historic college town with a welcoming community, scenic parks, and abundant outdoor recreation.

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025 – End : 1 / 31 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit

Employment Type : Travel RN position

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

Prior travel nursing experience required

Proficient in reading telemetry strips and providing orthopedic care

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications

Complete work history with explanations for any gaps over 90 days

Skills checklist and copy of Nursys / license required for submission

All requested time off must be submitted with application

Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible for this travel nursing job

RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care on the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for cardiac patients

Provide orthopedic nursing care as needed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, students, and new hires in a teaching hospital environment

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies
