Overview
Eversource supports work-life balance with hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change at managerial discretion and based on work performance. Applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (e.g., emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Position
P&C Engineer is responsible for completing activities and assignments associated with the design and operation of protection and control systems necessary for the safe and reliable operation of the transmission and distribution system to meet the mission and objectives of the organization. This position will analyze protection system operations, and the appropriate resolutions, in order to provide support to operations on unplanned maintenance. This position shares accountability with peers in the planning, project management, substation engineering, operations, and maintenance organizations to carry out the efficient and timely completion of system reliability projects, generation interconnection projects and system restoration and troubleshooting efforts.
Essential Functions
Technical Knowledge / Education / Licenses / Certifications
Education : Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Individuals with a focus in electric power systems engineering are preferred.
Experience : Minimum of three (3) years of related Electrical Engineering experience is required. Protection and Controls experience is preferred, including :

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting; standing, walking and climbing stairs are involved. The job may require travel to operating districts, and to companies within and outside the state. The job will also require travel to electrical substations and generation facilities as necessary for site walkdowns and meetings.
Compensation and Benefits
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is $97,570.00-$108,410.00.

Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
